PE curriculum can happen in a variety of spaces but is best accommodated outdoors or in a multi-purpose gym. PE spaces should have space for instructors, contain ample storage for equipment and student daily items, access to restrooms and water fountains, and large areas to move, run, play, and stretch. PE may utilize programmed outdoor space but shall be usable in all-weather scenarios. If weather conditions do not allow for outdoor PE, conditioned interior space shall be provided.
